Themed Campaign For A Lane Come Ride With CM, the event started at Padang Kota Lama, Penang at 8:30am on the 25th Oct 2009. There are three categories: Family rides which involve a distance of 12km from Town Hall Esplanade to Gurney Drive and back; Teluk Bahang rides (50km from Town Hall, Esplanade to Teluk Bahang roundabout and back) round island rides, (80km from Town Hall, Esplanade to the Jelutong
Expressway, passing through Bayan Lepas, then to Balik Pulau, Teluk Bahang, Batu Ferringhi and back) . Penang Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng completed the 12 km ride within 40 minutes. Some 350 cyclists joined him in the event.
