3rd September, 2009: Kampung Buah Pala witnessed yet another demolition attempt. This time, eighteen persons were detained for allegedly obstructing the police and court bailiff from carrying out their work.
Three of the detained were women from the village and two men. The others were MIC youth members, lawyer Darshan Singh and other supporters.
CJ Chan Lilian talked to those who were released and also an elderly gentleman who was waiting for his nephew's release.
